At first look, it may appear that the Tokyo based fashion label has recontextualized styling techniques popularized in the 80s, but head designers Verbal and Yoon Ahn take it a bit deeper.

It’s part of the reason retailers like Urban Outfitters continue to post higher than expected profits each quarter with their street-inspired selection, while traditional retailers like J.C. Penney struggle. It’s why high fashion brands like Louis Vuitton collaborate with streetwear brand Supreme for millennials who love photogenic clothingand why the Instagram explore page is full of streetwear influencers.
